Spring Grand Tour
in the Langhe Wine Region
in the Langhe Wine Region
The Langhe Grand Tour by StappaMondo is a refined and immersive wine journey designed to experience the Langhe in spring,
between Alba, Barolo and Barbaresco.
A slow luxury itinerary that brings together historic wineries, fine dining and UNESCO-listed landscapes through curated experiences
and privileged access, guiding you step by step into the soul of the territory.
In April, the Langhe move with the gentle rhythm of a wine breathing in the glass.
The light grows clearer, the vineyards awaken, and the air carries the scent of damp earth and newly blossomed flowers.
It is a season that invites you to slow down, to observe, and to make room for time.
The Spring Grand Tour is designed for travellers who wish to experience Piedmont when the land opens up naturally:
longer days, uncrowded wineries, open-air tables.
The journey alternates iconic experiences with intimate, reserved moments.
The itinerary includes:
Private truffle hunt in the forest with a truffle hunter and his trained dog
Forest lunch and outdoor tables curated by private chefs
Hands-on cooking lab dedicated to traditional Piedmontese cuisine
Vertical wine tastings in historic Barolo and Barbaresco wineries
Panoramic vineyard walks through the UNESCO-listed Langhe hills
A Michelin-starred dinner does not simply conclude the journey — it seals it.
These experiences take shape through careful organisation and attention to every detail.
A dedicated tour leader accompanies the group throughout the entire journey, while private transfers ensure smooth and relaxed travel.
The stay in a boutique 5-star hotel completes the experience, offering a space of calm and care at the end of each day.
If you would like to explore the itinerary in detail or check availability, you can do so here.
The Spring Grand Tour is born from a curatorial approach that connects landscape, history, wine and cuisine.
Each stop is selected for its cultural value and for its coherence within the overall journey, creating a meaningful narrative where every experience has its place.
The itinerary follows a clear structure, designed to build a coherent and enriching travel story.
Barolo and Barbaresco are not simple tastings, but a lens through which to read the landscape.
Visits take place in historic wineries and family estates, where wine is told through soils, vineyards and production philosophies.
Each encounter becomes a moment of listening: the landscape enters the glass and turns into a story.
The journey is designed to be experienced without haste.
Small groups, private transfers and a thoughtful daily rhythm allow guests to enjoy the Langhe without fatigue, leaving space for contemplation, encounters and quiet moments.
Each day supports the experience without ever overwhelming it.
The hotel stay is not an accessory, but an integral part of the journey.
Hospitality is selected with the same care as the experiences: coherence with the territory, atmosphere and quality of spaces.
Elegant rooms, bright interiors and dedicated relaxation areas offer a moment of regeneration after each day of exploration.
For those who wish to go beyond a simple visit and dedicate time to truly understanding the territory.
The Langhe reveal themselves through a slower gaze, attentive listening
and a deep care for detail: a journey that privileges meaning over speed
and the quality of relationships built along the way.
For those who consider Barolo and Barbaresco not simply great wines, but profound expressions of landscape, heritage and winemaking vision.
Wine becomes a moment of encounter and storytelling — a privileged key to understanding the Langhe through the people who cultivate and interpret it every day.
Private cellar visits, historic wineries and family estates reveal a living culture shaped by patience, terroir and generations of knowledge.
For travellers who choose a conscious way of exploring, placing value on time, relationships and the quality of experience.
An approach that privileges authentic encounters and a sincere connection with places and people.
A journey designed for those who travel not to consume destinations, but to understand them.
Historic cellars, chefs, artisans and places normally closed to the public become accessible thanks to long-standing local relationships.
Not standardised experiences, but carefully curated encounters designed to bring you closer to the true soul of the Langhe — through the people who live and work here every day.
This is not a wine tour.
It is an immersion into a living landscape.
Private transfers, small groups and a harmonious distribution of each day allow the journey to breathe.
The Spring Grand Tour does not accumulate experiences:
it accompanies them with measure, allowing every moment to find its natural space.
Not a sequence of stops, but a journey unfolding through time: seven days to read the Langhe in all its complexity, among ancient traditions, great wines and a season that invites you to slow down.
An elegant Liberty-style villa overlooking the hills of Monforte d’Alba, immersed in the silence of the vineyards.

A private minivan with a dedicated driver and a travel host for the entire duration of the journey, ensuring smooth movement between villages, wineries and hills, optimising travel time and the rhythm of the experiences.

An ancient ritual made of silence, precise gestures
and scents that reveal the deep bond between people and land.
A guided walk among vineyards and ridgelines in the Barolo area, up to the Chapel of the Brunate.
An accessible route designed to immerse yourself in the colours of the season and observe the landscape from within.
Private visits to historic Barolo and Barbaresco wineries, with guided vertical tastings that reveal
the evolution of vintages, winemaking styles and the character of different subzones.
A forest lunch and a panoramic picnic prepared by private chefs, to experience the Langhe spring with all the senses, between conviviality, nature and aromas.
A dinner in a Michelin-starred restaurant and a private winery dinner close the Grand Tour as a gastronomic and cultural seal of the experience.
In the Spring Grand Tour, cuisine and wine are not isolated experiences, but an integral part of the story of the territory.
Every table, every winery and every gastronomic encounter is selected to dialogue with the landscape, the season and the people who live here, adding depth to the journey without ever overwhelming it.
From Michelin-starred dining to authentic local trattorias, the gastronomic route crosses the Langhe following a coherent and recognisable narrative thread.
Barolo and Barbaresco tastings take place in historic wineries and carefully selected family estates, where wine becomes a lens through which to read the territory, its history and its many expressions.
Cuisine accompanies this story through private lunches, signature tables and a Michelin-starred dinner that is not simply a celebratory moment, but the point of synthesis of the entire experience: an encounter between technique, seasonality and local identity.
On this journey, taste is never an end in itself.
It is a language that allows you to truly understand the Langhe.
